The sexiest film of the year is here.
Dallas (androgynous model Erika Linder, in her first role) isn’t built for relationships, having recently broken up with her latest girlfriend. Jasmine (the gorgeous Natalie Krill) is a successful fashion editor, seemingly living the dream with her fiancée Rile, but it is clear that there is something out of sync.
With two chance meetings in a matter of hours, fate is playing cupid as Dallas makes her move on the reluctant yet flirty Jasmine. One kiss and both their worlds are turned upside down with lust, love and insatiable desire.
Below Her Mouth is a rarity on screen as it celebrates lesbian and female sexuality like few before it. Shot with an entirely female crew, (something so unfortunately rare that it made mainstream press in its native Canada) and having a subject matter so sexy, so intimate, so daring about women, made entirely by women means we get a glimpse into the seldom explored or visualised female gaze.
Don’t miss this bold and erotic film, which premiered at Toronto International Film Festival.
"Below Her Mouth is a daring and emotional film that finally gets right what so many queer films get wrong." – Dork Shelf
"Made with an all female crew on set, Below Her Mouth carries a unique feminine sensibility that men can’t capture… It’s one of the most daring and provocative Canadian films in recent memory." – Toronto Film Scene
"Director April Mullen has added something beautiful to the landscape of film. Her love story – captured by a crew comprised entirely of women – feels truer, messier, and more vulnerable than most of what passes for romantic cinema these days." – The Matinee
