Fans of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, D.E.B.S and the '90s will revel in this queer, lesbian vampire film about what it means to belong in today’s complex times.
Laurel (transgender actress Nicole Maines, Supergirl) is graduating high school and moving to LA to see what the future holds by crashing on her brother’s couch and sampling the nightlife. Of course it is here that she falls in with a group of lesbian vampires, for whom the only rule is to never turn a man, because they can’t be trusted with power.
Bit has a gritty, '90s aesthetic but is set today, and Laurel’s journey as a young trans woman finding her place in a new city, albeit with vampires, is compelling, moving, sexy and most importantly, wildly entertaining.
