Born in 1927, Margaret Jones was an uncompromising lesbian feminist trailblazer who led an extraordinary life, much of it as a lesbian separatist.
She came out in the 1950s, was a founding member of CAMP Inc and the CAMP Women's Association in the '70s and took to the street during the first Mardi Gras protest of 1978. And she never stopped fighting for all causes she passionately believed in, standing up and standing out - and yet Margaret believes she is now invisible. Many of her friends disagree.
Seeing Margaret Jones is playing as part of Feminist Shorts. Click below for tickets.
