Set in 1982, against the backdrop of the Israeli-Lebanese war, Eytan Fox's little-seen debut was the first Israeli film to seriously address homosexuality in the military.
Naive soldier Yonatan is fascinated by his harsh and mysterious lieutenant, Erez. Stopping in Jerusalem for a break from training, most of the unit take the chance to catch up with girlfriends or flirt with American women. When Yonatan finds out how Erez spends his time off, what he witnesses will change how he sees his commanding officer, and himself, forever.
