How to Buy Tickets

Visit www.queerscreen.org.au, select the film you would like to watch, and add ticket quantities to your cart.

If you are a Queer Screen member, remember to login to your account in order to get your member discount! VISA and Mastercard are accepted.

Due to COVID-19 in person ticket sales will not be available.

** When you purchase a streaming ticket from Queer Screen, you enter into an agreement wherein you agree to screen the film privately within your home or on your own device.

For the purposes of copyright in Australia, a screening of a film outside the home is generally regarded as "in public" and is prohibited. Transmitting the film via a third party platform or network, or to a group through an internal network is regarded as a public screening.  Any screenings of this nature without written permission from Queer Screen and the copyrights owner are strictly forbidden.
Refunds - Please check your sessions, times, and Flexi passes are correct prior to payment as there are no refunds on any item sold.

Fees - All transactions incur a $1.90 - $7.50 transaction fee. Membership sales, donations, free and complimentary tickets are exempt. Booking fees are not refundable.

Exchanges - No exchanges of complete passes or complimentary tickets. If you can’t make a session you can swap it for another film (of the same value) up to 2 hours before the film is due to commence. You cannot exchange a session that has already passed.

Streaming Information

  • Films will be available to watch from your account between the 17 - 27th September
  • Once you hit "play" you will have 48 hours to watch the content
  • Films are only available to watch within Australia

Program Times - MGFF and QSFF program times and details are subject to change.

Film length, as listed in the program, represents the best available information at press time. Length of film does not include introductions or Q&A sessions following the screening.

General Admission Seating - Seating is available at all performances on a first-come, first-served basis. Due to COVID-19 cinema seating is subject to social distance measures as determined by the venue.

Latecomers - Your ticket guarantees admission if you are seated five minutes before the session begins. Latecomers enter at staff discretion.

Cancellations - In the event of a cancelled screening, Flexi pass holders will receive a replacement voucher - no refunds are made on Flexi passes. Single tickets will be replaced by tickets of equal value.

Classification - Classifications are listed on each film's page. Restrictions will be in place for those under the approved age.

Companion Cards - Are accepted for all sessions - please email ticketing@queerscreen.org.au for more details.

Access - All MGFF and QSFF venues have wheelchair access. If you require assistance with seating or have other needs, please email ticketing@queerscreen.org.au 

Foreign language films are subtitled in English.
Please check individual listings for closed caption information for online sessions.

Copyright - The use of cameras and other recording devices during MGFF and QSFF sessions constitutes a breach of copyright and is strictly prohibited. Any person caught in the act of filming a festival session will be immediately expelled, and the pirated material will be seized. Such persons may be subject to legal action.

Ferve Tickets is not liable for any loss or damage arising from the purchase of this ticket. Ferve Tickets cannot exchange or refund this ticket nor associated fees, please contact the Event Organiser with any queries. Ferve Tickets has no obligation to provide a refund or any other financial compensation if an event is cancelled, postponed or substantially altered by the Event Organiser, in which case you should contact the Event Organiser directly. Purchasing tickets constitutes your acceptance of this agreement.
