Come watch six Australian filmmaking teams pitch their LGBTIQ+ short film projects as they compete for a prize pool worth $20,000.
Pitch Off is back for its 8th edition, offering six filmmaking teams the opportunity to showcase their passion and conviction as they pitch their projects to a panel of judges. The winner will receive $10,000 in production funding from Queer Screen to bring their short film to life. We’re thrilled to continue our partnership with Screen Australia’s Gender Matters Taskforce, to offer two additional opportunities for eligible female and gender-diverse finalists: a $5,000 cash prize for the best screenplay, and $5,000 towards self-directed professional development.
Stick around after the pitches for a chance to connect with the finalists and other LGBTIQ+ screen practitioners at industry networking. Regardless of your role or experience level in the industry, this is an opportunity to build your network and meet potential future collaborators, so we can work together to advance queer film.
