Seyran Ateş, an openly bisexual woman, is leading a sexual revolution within Islam.

Despite receiving death threats and even being shot at, this Turkish-German lawyer and female Imam seeks to create a world, through her liberal mosque, where sexuality and the Islamic faith can coexist without conflict. Through interviews with her gay nephew, sex workers in Germany, queer Uyghurs in China and the living survivors of an extremist terror attack in Norway, we realise why this brave woman has taken on this fight for a more inclusive Islam. Directed by Turkish-Norwegian, Nefise Özkal Lorentzen, this controversial documentary highlights the immense courage it takes to go against the grain and stand up for what you believe in.
